My parents grew up reading the comics, and when I scrolled through the childrenвЂ™s channels the other day, the cartoon appeared. The entire Tintin franchise is so timeless, it is unbelievable. The caravan is approximately 2,5-3 meters wide, which illustrates how crammed up in there we would be at this time. The couches are convertible into beds, and the one on the left would become the double-bed. To the right is the overview of the caravan. Not including that we are all adults by now, and the fact that it would be kind of weird to stuff all of is in a bed to watch cartoons. I miss those days, but since my brother has doubled in height since, I doubt we would be able to fit in the same bed anymore. My dad returning from his morning walk to the baker with newly baked bread for our breakfast. I am a trained eye-roller when people get nostalgic (just ask my best friend NannaВ how I get when she starts off about our old school), but this film gets me every time! It takes me back to early mornings in our caravan on vacation either on FanГё or Bornholm, watching old taped (we are talking VHS-taped, people) versions of Tintin, crammed together three people in the double-bed my parents used to sleep in. No wonder the budget was more than $130 million. Buildings, nature, the background and surroundings as well as all animals (not including Snowy) are AMAZING. This being said, anything else is the best animations IвЂ™ve seen in years.

The characters move flawlessly (this I love) but they look too cartoon-y for my taste. IвЂ™m sorry to say this, but prioritizing keeping the HergГ© spirit alive in the film, kind of destroys the illusion of real people. Most of the characters are kept true to their original cartoon self, but unfortunately do get off as being horribly made.

Spielberg wanted an animated movie from beginning, and this definitely was the right decision. My reason being, how extremely well this film is animated. Whether you agree or not, this is my list of reasons for (re)watching The Adventures of Tintin: the Secret of the Unicorn. This one is for all of you out there who hasnвЂ™t watched the movie (yet), who didnвЂ™t plan on watching it, or who has already watched it. Rewatching this awesome throwback to my childhood, gave me the idea of reviewing it here on my blog.

I grew up watching the animated series during weekend mornings as a part of the weekend lineup, and when the collectorвЂ™s box was on the marked, mum rushed out and bought it. The film was in theatres by October 2011, but has been on the way since 2004. Directed and produced by Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson and Kathleen Kennedy this reinstallment of one of the most famous Tintin cartoons ever lives up to expectations of fans everywhere. During a weekend at my parentsвЂ™, we rewatched my mumвЂ™s favourite film: The Adventures of Tintin: the Secret of the Unicorn, and I just realised how amazeballs this film is.
